Expense Check came - 33% closer to goal

Posted on March 4, 2008. Filed under: CC Debt Progress, Living Expenses |

So my expense check arrived in the mail today. Still keeping plenty in the bank so I don’t have to charge anything - I paid off nearly $1500 of the balance. Man that feels good. (Even though it was their expenses in the first place.) Rent check should arrive shortly and I will be able to put 100% of that money to my USAA bill. That being MY money and MY expenses. I knew once I got the Roth IRA paid off that the momentum would really start to take hold. I’m expecting to be done with this payoff by June 15th. Have to set a date for it to hold myself accountable. It sure worked for the Roth! (It worked for the Roth last year too!)Anyway - I’m trying to keep the momentum going. Tonight the dog and I climbed a mountain instead of doing something that costs money - I’ve also posted a few items on Ebay that I haven’t used or no longer need. I knocked out my online Usenet group monthly expense and I’m looking to call Cox Communications to see if they will cut down my bill. (Just for the hell of it - hey - everybody else is doing it!) Say the word “satellite” and just watch them back-peddle!Ok - off to spend time w/ my little family now. Now that I’ve got those 2 gigs of RAM on my Mac I’m online, I’m in, and I’m out.Happy March everybody!
