I am officially obsessed with my Credit Score…

Yes ladies! How do you spend your Friday night? Hitting the town with your girlfriends? Spending time with the major guy in your life? Or researching new credit monitoring companies so that you can monitor your credit score… daily!

Yup! I have discovered TrueCredit - the monitoring service put out by TransUnion that allows you to monitor your reports and your scores from ALL 3 BUREAUS - daily! I had to verify my identity with them to get into my account since I have that fraud alert setup from Lifelock, but I checked this morning and my scores range from 670 (Experian) to 690 (Equifax). YAHOO!

Their customer service number was closed when I called last night, so I couldn’t get in until this morning. As soon as I woke up, I picked up the phone, called in, and ran to my PC. I felt like a little kid on Christmas morning. Santa has brought my credit scores - every day!!

Makes me wonder what the discrepancies are between the monitoring companies though. Just yesterday Identity Guard reported my Experian as 636 and my Equifax as 672. Anyway, since TrueCredit is put out by TransUnion and not some 3rd party provider - I’m thinking theirs is a little more accurate. And if it happends to be better numbers - hey - that’s just a bonus!

I’m anxiously awaiting the day where all my accounts reach 680 so I can get the 6% interest rate on the car refinance at my local credit union. One account is already there - the other two have 8 and 10 points to go. But I can watch them daily now! SWEET!

Anyway, for anybody out there that wants to use TrueCredit, WalMart has a special on it that you pay $11.21/month instead of the usual $14.99/month. Go here. It’s a little more than I’m paying right now at Identity Guard, but SO worth it!

Off to cancel my Identity Guard………….. gotta run!
